Sixth ) scored some quick boundaries to ensure the win , alongside me , ending on an unbeaten 56 .
As always , a highly competitive yet well-spirited match between the OS and the 1st XI , and one of the first times in recent history that the 1st XI has come out on top over a typically star-studded OS side .

OS vs 1st XI The annual OS vs 1st XI match is always a special event in the calendar and this year ’ s match did not disappoint .
After enjoying an excellent BBQ , the OS batted first and got off to a very good start , thanks largely to Nick Chaplin ( OS 2021 ), who scored a fluent 33 . Others chipped in throughout the innings , but the spin of Harry Soper ( Year 11 ) pegged the OS back to a total of 128 . With the bat , creditable scores were posted by Kassim Ramji ( OS 2009 ), who looked in fine form , and Will Wilkin ( OS 2008 ). With the ball , Joe Corneille ( OS 2009 ) rolled back the years to take several fine wickets . Winner of the ‘ Distance Travelled ’ award goes to Charlie Osler ( OS 2009 ), who travelled all the way from Singapore for the game . Charlie shook off his jetlag to perform admirably in the field .
On this occasion , the Old Sennockians were triumphant , having batted first and posted a big score . However , as always , the result was ultimately unimportant . The Old Sennockians love coming back for this annual fixture : it gives them an opportunity to catch up with each other and with the teachers that they remember so fondly .
