PETE KINO MEMORIAL CRICKET MATCH
OS vs Orbillians , Solefields
As always , this was a wonderful occasion . Old Sennockians returned to Solefields from far and wide , to reunite with friends and pay homage to a muchloved and dearly missed teacher . Pete was a brilliant and charismatic teacher of German and longstanding member of the school community . He was also a dedicated Orbillian , whose prowess behind the stumps earned him his nickname , ‘ The Cat ’.
This year the OS triumphed , racking up an impressive 200 runs as the sun started to dip below the horizon . Will Wilkin ( OS 2008 ) was top scorer with 31 and closely followed by Joe Corneille and Alex Kirkpatrick ( both OS 2009 ). The score proved too great for the Orbs , who struggled to get going after a long and busy term .
However , the score is always a secondary consideration . The most important thing is that we get together each year to celebrate Pete ’ s life and his love of cricket . We raised a glass to him after the game .

OLD SENNOCKIANS FOOTBALL CLUB ( OSFC )
This was the OSFC ’ s ninth season competing in the Arthurian League since its inception in 2013 . Over 30 players aged 19 upwards represented the Old Sennockians , with our home ground being Duke ’ s Meadow . The league is a great standard , provides a good social after games and is a fun way to keep in touch with friends and the school .
In a very competitive Division Two , including teams from Harrow , Eton and Radley , the OSFC sadly suffered a final day relegation to Division Three . Having beaten eventual title-winners Eton , with three games remaining , we were hopeful of keeping our place in Division Two but results elsewhere went against us . Thank you to everyone who played this season . We are looking forward to bouncing back next season with a youthful and enthusiastic squad !
