GOLF TABLE TENNIS

Sevenoaks golfers are regional winners

The golf team this year has been incredibly motivated and highly successful . The competitive fixtures began with a 3-0 win against Eastbourne College in the first round of the HMC . The second round versus Brighton College was also won with a score of 2-1 . Although a close loss for our first pairing , part of what made the golf team so strong was our pool of talented players that we could call upon .
In the Summer term , the team played the HMC semi-final , winning against Ardingly 3-0 . Facing Tonbridge in the final , one of the stronger teams in the pool , was a true test . Sevenoaks triumphed 2-1 , making us regional champions . Other enjoyable highlights included the chance to play many friendly matches , an individual round in the Smarden Bell tournament , and playing at beautiful courses , such as Littlestone , in an invitational against a touring South African school .

An exciting year for a growing team

Sevenoaks table tennis has seen a significant increase in the number of members . Our coach , Hewley , has had a major impact on the sport at Sevenoaks and our team has shown great improvement under his guidance .
The boys ’ teams participated in the U16 and U13 Kent Schools tournaments at The Howard School Table Tennis Centre . Over 50 boys from schools throughout Kent participated in each competition . Twenty students represented Sevenoaks in their first table tennis fixture , and the standard of competition was incredibly high . Noteworthy results from the competition included Rory Bowman securing third place in the plate , while Aarav Patel battled through to the semi-finals and secured fourth place in the U13 category . In the U16 category , Hogan Yeung reached the quarter-finals , and Boris Lo made it to the semi-finals of the plate .
