Even though this was only the second season of the equestrian team , we had great success . More than ten people have represented the school in the past year in both showjumping and eventing . The team ’ s dedication in keeping the horses fit and prepared whilst still being at school shows how eager everyone has been to compete . The season started off in early September at the National School Equestrian Association ( NSEA ) National Eventing Championships . The 80cm team of Harry Scott on Seren Benfro , Katie Clyne on Breeogue Breeze , Marcus Cook on Lonrach and Mia Stack on Pixel Perfect Puzzle took the national title , with Harry winning his arena and Mia coming fifth . Unfortunately , the 90cm team were unplaced but Harry Scott on Camlough Fabio was third individually and Isa Wardell on Midget on a Mission placed fifth in a hugely competitive class .
Next stop was the NSEA winter showjumping qualifier in November . The 80cm team of Lara Bailey on Burgate Flint , Katie Clyne on Breeogue Breeze , Anabelle Crickmore on Llwyngell Daniel , and Felicity Chandler on Daisy won , with Anabelle achieving eighth place out of 59 competitors . It was a second place for the 90cm team out of 14 teams , made up of Abi Scott on Red Rendezvous , Anabelle Crickmore on Roisins Galway Girl , Harry Scott on Camlough Fabio and Marcus Cook on Lonrach , qualifying for the prestigious Royal Windsor Horse Show in May . Individually , Abi Scott won out of nearly 70 competitors and Anabelle Crickmore came fourth . The 100cm team of Abi and Harry Scott , Anabelle and Felicity came second with Anabelle , Abi and Felicity , placing fourth , eighth and tenth respectively .
Unfortunately , Royal Windsor and the rest of the season was cancelled but we look forward to a successful and fun season next year . Thanks go to Mrs Smith for her time and dedication providing us with these wonderful opportunities .
