N etball We had a busy netball season, with over 226 fixtures across 26 teams with county success at many levels. More than ten girls have represented Kent with a further four performing in the Super League Performance squads of Surrey Storm and London Pulse. The dedication of the girls and the staff has been tremendous and is indicative of a successful season. Playing netball at Sevenoaks for the past seven years has been nothing short of thrilling, at times challenging, and undoubtedly has made up many of my best memories at school. Lauren Cripps This season has been packed full of matches, tournaments and training, which have of course been extremely enjoyable! As a team we have improved immensely in our skills and understanding of the game. This has been a fantastic season across all age groups, where many teams, including the U12B and U15E, were undefeated and the U13s and U14s became county champions. For the senior teams, the competition was tough, but companionship and teamwork made the season enjoyable. It was an honour to lead the 1st team to third place at counties and runners-up at the Birley’s Tournament. Our final ever tournament at Benenden summarised our season: we lost two matches, drew one and won two (13-1 and 16-5). 86 Charlotte Jairaj, Upper Sixth U14 Regional Finalists Our favourite memory of this season was winning the county cup finals, making us the best in Kent and thereby qualifying for regionals. As a team we fought hard, but we were missing some teammates through sickness, and the standard of the opposition was extremely high. We placed fourth in the region, which is still an excellent achievement and gives us plenty of opportunity to develop in time for next year. Elspeth Watson and Ellie Allen, Year 9 SPORT REVIEW
