This year has also seen the Senior Girls’ Ensemble
go from strength to strength under our new director
Miss Eldridge. Learning an exciting repertoire, from
choral to jazzy a cappella, the choir has brought a
surprising joy to Monday mornings! Lower down
the school, Voices have enjoyed lots of performance
opportunities in charity and informal concerts,
showcasing classic pop and gospel tunes. And,
always a highlight of the Sevenoaks music scene,
the a cappella group have given many memorable
performances, including renditions of ‘America’ and
‘Yesterday’. The contributions of the Upper Sixth to
this group and the many others will be missed next
year, and they leave some big shoes to fill. We hope
they will continue to enjoy music wherever they
go next.
We also wish Mr Heighway and Miss Eldridge every
success in their future careers and thank them
sincerely for everything they have done to make this
year so enjoyable for all involved in choral music.
