the magic of the maine coast
T
he woods of Maine deliver cool
shade and an ethereal feel to
your images. Late in the day the
light filters through the trees, early
in the morning on cooler days the
mist floats over the ferns.
The adorable New England
back roads and villages give us
countless places to stop and
explore, grabbing an adventurous impromtu photo along the
way. There is no standard location during these sessions, anywhere is fair game, except the
occasional “private way” and
even then we’ve been known
to sneak in a shot or two.
Currently, homebase is Kennebunkport, one of the most colorful and quaint vacation spots
in all of New England. Rolling
meadows, worn barns, wildlife preserves, and the pristine
beaches where you can choose
from the rocky coastline or the
long stretch of sandy beaches
as your backdrop.
In all the years I have been photographing seniors in Maine, I
have never run out of inspiration.
