There are some really simple and effective things
you can do to get the best skin on your face and
body before your session.
1. Exfoliate - About 2 days before your session you
can make your own simple face exfoliator with 3
ingredients:
2 T. almond powder (you can find it at any natural
food store)
2 T. baking soda
1 T. apple cider vinegar
Combine the almond powder (if you can’t find almond powder you can also use straight baking
soda or wheat germ) with the baking soda.
Next add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to
the mixture. There will be a chemical reaction - the
baking soda and vinegar will fizz and bubble (if you
ever made a volcano in grade school you’ve done
this already but on a much larger scale).
Massage the mixture onto your face in a circular
motion for a few minutes. Rinse and follow up with
a splash of cold water.
2. Body Exfoliater - It’s almost certain you’ll be
wearing a dress or an off the shoulder top and
there’s nothing that creates a beautiful summer
glow like a salt scrub.
1.5 C. Fine Sea Salt or Fine Himalayan Salt (fine
refers to the grind, it’s the normal salt grind you
find in stores)
1/2 C. Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
a couple drops of peppermint or any essential oil
Combine the Sea Salt and Oil and add a few
drops of essential oil at the end. You can get creative and add sugar, poppy seeds, lemon, etc.
Apply all over in the shower and rinse well. You’ll
be left with a gorgeous glow.
