If I could go back in time before senior year started, I would yell at myself to research colleges, start applying early, and set my goals realistically. Like every senior, I suffered from procrastination in my college application process, in which I waited to write all those essays until way too close to the deadline, when I was already knee deep in other school homework. I also wish that I hadn’t applied to so many ivy-league type schools. I should have picked one and focused on it. When creating my list, I applied to a few schools just to see if I got in, not really taking into consideration their cost of attendance and the fact that I would get no help if I did actually go there.
