Yoga for Everyone…

Yoga. It is unfortunate that
most Yoga book-covers
show extremely advanced
Yogis in positions that are
simply not possible for
most people.
Meditation is the key
to accessing the core self
and like all worthwhile
skills must be learned
and practiced. Yoga is
helpful but not essential
to becoming an adept
meditator.
There are also many
helpful modalities which
can assist the body and
mind to relax and promote
the healing of both physical
and emotional wounds.
There is the ancient
Hawaiian ‘handson’ healing art of
LomiLomi which must
be experienced since
words cannot do it justice.
There is Shiatsu which
uses finger pressure on
specific body points to
promote wellness. There
is Reiki , which translated
from the Japanese means
‘Universal Divine Energy’,
and is practised with a
light placing of hands
which feels lovely even to
those who are experiencing
painful conditions.
No matter your age,
make a wish for wellness
and come see what your
community has to offer!
