Photo: Sue Dickens Free art classes transformed the Forrest Dennis Senior Citizens Centre into an art studio one day a week for several weeks recently, when accomplished artist Jeanette Campbell, a newcomer to Trent Hills, taught others the joy of painting. Sponsored by Hillside Haven Retirement Residence in partnership with Campbellford Senior Citizens Club, the free lessons attracted many from those who wanted to further their artistic 18 abilities to others, who had never painted before. From beginner to advanced, the class of students, many of them seniors, gathered each week to share in their own love of this pastime. “I’ve been painting all my life, had my first show when I was 13,” said Jeanette as she agreed to talk about her own experiences as an artist and why she decided to teach others. “I started teaching art when I was in my 20s…it’s SM
