CHEMISTRY CHEMISTRY & THE WORLD OF WORK Employment prospects include: You will get to learn and develop key skills for living and working, including, practical skills, thinking skills, analytical skills and organisational skills. You will also get the opportunity to develop your literacy and numeracy skills in a different context with chemistry. All of these are key skills employers are looking for. Is it for me? Chemistry is the study of matter and energy and how they interact with each other. It is everywhere around you, it is in the food and the water that you consume, the clothes you wear, your daily soap and detergents and medicines. You will enjoy Chemistry if you like finding about atoms, elements and compounds, acids and alkalis, polymers and fuels. You will also enjoy it if you like practical experiments, problem solving and investigations. What will I learn?
