TURNS UP THE VOLUME
Lanse Bishop
New General Manager
The Hard Rock Cafe is turning up the volume on hospitality by hiring General
Manager Lanse Bishop.
Lanse, a sixth-generation Floridian from Lake Butler, has been in the food and
beverage industry for almost 21 years and he’s ready to embrace the Hard
Rock culture.
Most recently, Lanse held multiple positions as a multi-purpose manager
at LongHorn Steakhouse, a Darden restaurant, where he was a staffing and
training manager, culinary manager and a service manager.
Now serving as the General Manager of the Hard Rock Cafe Tampa, Lanse’s
two main goals are to serve the best quality food to our guests and to ensure
all guest’s leave happy.
In addition to his guest service initiatives, Lanse is determined to bring
additional rock n’ roll terms to the staff that they can use throughout their
shifts. Most notably, Lanse will have employees shout out loud “rock n’ roll”
when food is ready to be delivered to a guest. This is a non-traditional dining
experience that is found throughout Hard Rock Cafe’s nationwide.
Lanse has already participated in the creation of the new Hard Rock Cafe menu
that was launched in April 2014. We asked him what his all time favorite dish
was from the menu and without hesitation he said the Jumbo Combo is the
best. He goes on to explain how the size and variety are two factors that make
it his favorite.
In case you’re wondering what a Jumbo Combo is, it’s one of the newly
revamped menu items that is a collection of our most popular appetizers:
Signature Wings, Onion Rings, Tupelo Chicken Tenders, Spinach Artichoke Dip
with Parmesan Flatbread and Bruschetta all on one plate.
