care doctors or other specialists , however Brown said that sometimes people do internet searches for their symptoms and call the office directly for an appointment with him . Also seeing patients at the practice is Diana Williamson , a nurse practitioner who Brown says is a great asset to the practice .
“ She is well-trained and loves on the patients ,” Brown said . “ She ’ s well liked .”
Brown and his wife , Mollie , have been married for 28 years and have four grown children who reside in Kentucky . In his spare time , Brown likes to golf , enjoys horses and takes the occasional missions trip . The
Browns attend The Creek Church and the Christian values that he holds dear are a guiding factor in his practice .
“ I think that I want to extend empathy and excellence and I believe that is Christ honoring ,” Brown said . Brown isn ’ t just resting on his laurels with a successful practice in Somerset . He believes that people in rural communities deserve the state-of-the-art care that is available in bigger cities but wants patients to be able to get these services closer to home without having to brave the traffic and hustle and bustle that comes with trips to places like Lexington and Richmond .
“ There ’ s just so many constraints that people have with traveling ,” Brown said . “ They may not have the gas money to get proper care and they are so disenfranchised with bigger cities and bigger hospitals so we ’ re bringing state of the art care closer to home .”
According to the Centers for Disease Control Kentucky ranks in the top 10 states in the nation for cancer , heart disease and diabetes . The services that Brown and his staff provide allows patients access to convenient care close to home .
To that end , Brown has opened satellite clinics in London and Danville and has recently opened a
