Nutrition is very important now a day for
each person but being healthy during the
adolescence will be the basis for the correct
and full future development of the individual.
Adolescents don't really care for nutrition, of
course there are exceptions, but the big
majority doesn't even know the effects of
eating or not eating healthy. People need to
start thinking and be fully aware of the
guidelines for eating healthy because these
gives your body a great potential and gives
a lot of benefits. In fact, many people,
especially kids, who eat healthy can
stabilize their energy during the day, have a
better mood and do better at learning and
remembering things. Nutrition does not only
refer to start avoiding junk food, but it refers
to balance your food during the day and
know the variety of grains, proteins,
vitamins, fruits, etc. In this article, you will

healthy and what are the most important

balanced on your diet.
What are the most important things that you
should include in your diet? Well, this is a
question that many could imagine but the
answer relies on balancing all important
things that include proteins, carbohydrates,
fats, vitamins, minerals and water as a
drink. Each one has its own functions when
entering your body. Proteins will help your
body make muscles or tissues with their
amino acids. Carbohydrates are the basic
unit for energy in your body, because they
are quick energy fuels. Fats are useful for

To be healthy you need to eat well and not
just things that you like such as junk food or

perfect balance. There is a controversy
whether carbohydrates and fats are good
for your health or these are bad; the truth
that this foods are essential but if you eat
too much of any of these it will cause
problems such as clogged arteries by
saturated fats or having overweight for
eating too much carbohydrates. Proteins
and minerals are good but also if you eat
too much or not the right amount you would
not be balanced and healthy.
