The cost of building a Florida Green Building
Coalition (FGBC) green, high-performance home
does not have to be higher than a conventional
home.
If homeowners decide to invest more up front, to
build an extremely green, super energy efficient
and very high-performance home, their savings
will be higher and with a payback that can be
surprisingly quick.
A recent McGraw-Hill study indicated that green
homeowners are more satisfied and believe
that green homes are higher quality, easier
to maintain, more efficient, and offer health
benefits.
