2.department stores

Department stores are generally located in city centres and stock a wide variety of goods and brands ranging in price accross different departments. Examples of department stores are John Lewis, Selfridges and House of Fraser.

Staff usually work by department so the customer service is more personal than in a high street store and means customers generally have a better shopping experience in a department store.

3.not for profit

A not for profit store is generally a charity shop. These shops usually resell donated items in order to make money for charity. These shops include Oxfam, British Heart Foundation and St Barnabas. These are generally located in high streets amongst bigger brands.

1.multiple retailer

A multiple channel retailer is a retailer that offers customers with a variety of ways to shop. These can include bricks and mortar, online shopping through a website, online shopping through an app on mobile or tablet or a catalogue. A good example of this is Next who offer all of these channels to shop, but other examples include Zara and Topshop.
