Sea Level Rise is of Growing Concern

By Madison Lescohier

The Overall Issue with sea level rise is the rapid changes that are occuring worldwide as a result of slight increases in the height of the planet's oceans. Though eustatic sea level changes- variances in the volume of oceans on a global scale- have occurred throughout the history of Earth's development, the speed and amount that which the ocean has increased today is not natural or without serious consequences (Jackson). Action must be taken immediately before oceans reach heights unheard of.

This picture notes areas of the world that are threatened by rising sea levels. The red shows that coasts across the world may be impacted.
