" You Are Not Alone " ( Y . A . N . A .) is a free program for Laguna Niguel residents who live alone and would like to have a sense of security as team P . A . C . T . members check on the welfare of residents with a visit or a phone call to the home twice a week . If they are unable to reach a program participant , P . A . C . T . members will call a Deputy to contact the resident ' s emergency contact . The Y . A . N . A . Program does not administer medications or take the participant to the doctor ' s office , grocery store , or run errands .

CRITERIA Must be a resident of Laguna Niguel Must be at least 65 years of age , or have a disability Must have a next-of-kin , caretaker , or relative as a responsible party

DOCUMENT SHREDDING

No junk mail , magazines , or non-personal documents . Residents may bring one banker box per week . Only paper will be accepted ( no binders , hanging folders , x- rays , CDs etc .) Please make sure your documents are not held together by binder clips or heavy metal clasps .

BATTERY DISPOSAL

Please no large quantities !
The Center is helping the community recycle batteries . Please look for our recycling container in the lobby to drop off your old batteries . Smaller sized batteries only . Example : AAA , AA , C , 9Volt , etc .

SHARPS DISPOSAL

Please no large quantities !
For the safety of staff , residents must dispose of syringes themselves .
Syringes must be placed individually in the container with the needle pointed downwards . Do not fill past the limit line . Sharp waste only ( used injector pens , syringes , lancets , etc .)
