1- How the band was formed? And where did the name '' NERVOUS IMPULSE '' came from?
The band was formed in 2007 a er several projects and bands over the years with the need to produce the kind of music I always wanted to do. Pure insanity, fast Death Metal & Grindcore blend with no compromises. The name just came in naturally listening to the very first songs we composed back then. Straight to the point like a Nervous Impulse and that was it! The beast was born.

2- Recently came on the market, your second album en tled " TIME TO PANIC ". Can you tell us more about the recording process and mixing / mastering of this CD?
Bruno and I, decided to record the tracks by ourselves this me. The process went really smooth since there was no pressure from our label Blast Head Records. The owner Paul Shaw gave us all the me we needed to do it the right way so there was no... me to panic... We kept all the basics songs structures we had at the me, but enhanced a lot of parts during the recording in order to get every drop of lemon we could squeeze. That ' s what made the difference between this one and our first release, it ' s a more mature album in sound and textures. Every song on this album has its own personality in a manner of speaking. When all was captured, we contacted our long me friend, soundman Hugues Deslauriers to put his magic in there. I can hardly imagine someone else that could truly understand the Nervous Impulse vibe as well as him. Hugues mixed the album and mastered it with the help of Chris Donaldson( Cryptopsy ' s guitarist) to beef it up at its full poten al. They did an awesome job with that.
3- How was the crea ng process that issued " TIME TO PANIC "?
It ' s a vibe that we put in music so it has to come naturally. Bruno and I were really caught up in wri ng songs for the band. Someone comes with an idea at a jam and the rest of the song just comes ins nc vely by logic. Then, everyone puts in their ideas and enhancements to create the full emo ons of each song. Eric has the gi to perfectly size the song up and fit lyrics on it to create a complete en ty. Bruno and Felix add the new school and technicality to the old school approach that Eric and I have to bring. That ' s what makes the songs mul-dimensional and so interes ng to listen to. We recently added a new guitarist, Francis Cousineau and let me assure you that this guy will impress the Nervous fans. He has a lot of tricks up his sleeve!
4- What has been the response from fans and extreme music press?
Sooooo good actually! Fans are really all over the place and from all parts of the world, showing us support and helping spread the bands name in every way they can. Reviews are again, really good, radio sta ons and web radios spin our stuff a lot. A lot of good things are happening on our Facebook( www. facebook. com / nervousimpulsegrind) and Vkontakt( www. vk. com / nervousimpulse) pages!!!!
5- What represents the COVER ART and tle of " TIME TO PANIC "?
The artwork choice was really simple for us. We ' ve got the privilege to work with one of the best ar sts here in Montreal; Filip Ivanovic. He did the layout of our first album but this one is totally a step up for us since it ' s a true piece
NERVOUS IMPULSE is one of the best promises of the Canadian scene, ready to conquer the world stage.
6- " ENOUGH FOR DEMENTIA " was your first 2009 full-length. How was the band at that me? And how were things in selling this cd "?
As a self produced and independent release, this album was great to introduce our art to the extreme music scene. That was the exact thing we needed to do at the me and I ' m s ll proud of the way it came out. We had Vincent Malo and Robert Guimond on guitars back in 2009 that was a totally different line up with another type of energy. None of them where actual fans of Brutal Death Grind and I ' m proud of what they achieved with us at the Enough for Demen a era. The CD is now sold out and where thinking of re-issuing it... later.
7- How did you come up to get a contract with BLAST HEAD RECORDS? And what is your opinion belonging to this label or seal?
The best thing that ever happened for Nervous Impulse!!! I first met Paul Shaw( Blast Head Records owner) via MySpace around 2008 I think. He was running a distro at the me way before star ng his label. He started to support our band and sell those“ Enough for Demen a '' CDs. We had another offer to sign with a Russian label but the logical way was to sign with Paul. Time proved right. He pushes really hard on promo ng his bands and doesn ' t interfere in any way with the crea ve process; this guy put so much effort with all steps during the process. Whatever you need he ' s there with you and makes it easier to get thru so many things... Really a devoted guy and true fan of music, we are proud to be part of his team. He also became a valuable friend of mine with the mes.( www. blatheadrecords. com)
8- How was working with " RICHINSANEDESIGNS " for the logo of the band?
Ricardo Montenegro, again, is around us since the very beginning. Really nice and easy going dude. This guy from Colombia got in touch with us having only heard some rehearsal tracks, believed in our stuff, and offered his work in exchange of our future CD!!!!
We are really lucky to be surrounded by people like Ricardo, Paul, Hugues and Filip with helping us make this whole package for you that has became Nervous Impulse. It wouldn ' t be the same without their dedica on to us.
9- How things were with the distribu on and press for the Promo 2009, 4 WAY GRINDCORE NOISE DECAY and Promo 2014?
Frankly, not so much has been done to distribute those items. The main goal is to give fans freebies and the chance to get a rare collec ble item. The physical copies are highly limited and hand numbered to 100 / 200 units. When I walk the streets here and see a guy with... for example, a Suffoca on shirt, I just give him one of those 3 '' CDs and he ' s now discovering my band and he ' s doing it with the people he knows. Simple as that. The digital copies where sent to Blogspots, Megaupload, Torrents, Magazines and Radio Sta ons to spread the word about our band. Very mid 90 ' s approach reminds me a lot of this feeling I had with the tape trading at the me. We also did a '' Special 2 songs VK Promo edit '' with a presenta on in Russian for the Eastern Europe countries lately to show up some respect for those people which welcomed us so warmly up there.
10- Where the idea of the '' COLLAPSE OF THE EVOLUTION '' video came from and does it worked?
Our label did this video to show fans the alliance of our band with Blast Head Records and promote the upcoming '' Time to Panic '' album in 2013 or so... Worked well by the way! You can also see a bunch of other related videos for those it may interest in subscribing to our YouTube channel( www. youtube. com / user / NervousImpulse)
11- Tell us about direct? How are the shows of the band? What do you plan to promote the CD?
The direct link with the fans really ma ers to us. I answer every single ques ons or demand from the public because we ' re doing music for ourselves in the first place but the whole purpose of keeping
