Here SCUMZINE Ricardo Bedoya, how are things in the band? 3 Is tell us how was the recording and mixing the new CD "THE DISMAL ASCENSION"?
Hey Ricardo, Fischer here! Pre y good, right now we're all kinda
busy with educa on stuff, but were hanging in there! We recorded the album in a small studio in the suburbs of Copenhagen called Ducksound Produc ons.
The recording process was very long, due to a mul tude of reasons, but we pulled through. We chose
to work with Hugues Deslauriers for mixing, since we really liked his organic approach to Death Metal
sound, and Colin Marston for mastering, having loved his work on Mitochondrion and the newest
Gorguts record. They were both great to work with, really nailed the vision we had in mind. We
wanted to take the mix away from the Danish scene, the style of produc on around here is pre y
sterile, which we're not that into.
