These trainees have been among our most successful , often having a parent who dived years ago and wanted to take the Ocean Diver course as a refresher to share their passion for diving with their teenage children . There are several pairs of parent / offspring combinations . We are also planning to run snorkelling courses ( which would have started but for Covid ) for children waiting for their 12th birthday .
What happened to membership numbers ?
We now have 36 members : including three swimming members , seven trainees ; nine Ocean Divers ; seven Sports Divers ; a Dive Leader and five Advanced Divers . We have a try dive waiting list of 24 . We were training holiday divers who were short-term members , but now we are training club divers who ’ ll stay with us .
