Diving for All grows in popularity
One of the newly qualified DfA Instructors who took part in the training weekend , Andy Warren from Harrogate BSAC , said he thoroughly enjoyed the course . “ DfA is a great way to get as many disabled people as possible into the sport . As an instructor you also learn new ways to do the same thing and I would recommend it to all Open Water Instructors .” The DfA Instructor course at Capernwray was followed by an evening training session for DfA Dive Managers and Buddies , which saw 10 BSAC members develop their skills to dive safely with a person who has disabilities . Participants in the Buddies course can now use their new qualification as the pre-learning for the DfA Instructor course . North West Regional Coach and DfA Instructor Trainer , Sam Clarke , who coordinated the latest Diving for All Instructor course , said she was delighted by the response to the recent training . “ It ’ s fantastic to see DfA becoming more and more requested . From buddy to instructor , it is important that as many divers as possible get involved with Diving for All - diving truly should be for all and at every level .” For more information on Diving for All go to bsac . com / dfa
