ALREADY THINKING AHEAD TO NEXT YEAR? THE LATEST BSAC YEAR PLANNER IS now available to help get prepared.
Every year, BSAC produces a wall planner showing the spring and neap tides; it’ s free to members and the 2027 version can be downloaded online.
With the spring and neap tides for the coming 12 months, the planner can be used to map out your diving and snorkelling for the coming year.
The PDF is produced in high resolution so can be printed off in A4 or A3 sizes, perfect for the dive club noticeboard. It is also available with bleed and print marks for sending to your local printers or copy shop if larger sizes are required.
Please note: the tide information is to be used as an approximation for trip planning only, and local tide information should be checked and used in any formal dive and snorkel planning. Members can also sign up to a shared‘ subscription’ calendar featuring all spring and neap tides, available for smartphones, iPads and shared calendars on desktop computers.

Vobster Santas returns on 13 December
LOOKING FOR A WAY TO ROUND OFF YOUR DIVING YEAR? BSAC HAS PARTNERED with Vobster Quay for this year’ s Vobster Santas, and every BSAC member is invited – whether you’ re booking as a club or bringing a buddy.
The centrepiece is the mass Santa dive at 10am, when as many festively dressed divers as possible hit the water together. Gates open at 8am with a dive brief at 9.30am, so there’ s time to park, kit-up and adjust your beard. The site stays open until 4pm, so there’ s no need to rush off after one dive.
You don’ t need to be a Vobster member, entry is at the standard fee, and you register yourself online – Vobster sends you the rest.
It’ s all in aid of two charities. The RNLI needs little introduction to members. Its volunteer crews and lifeguards provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, and have saved more than 142,000 lives since 1824. Help for Heroes supports veterans and their families whenever and wherever they served. Divers are encouraged to get sponsored, and a charity raffle is drawn at 12.30pm – £ 1 tickets from the Vobster shop, prizes donated by well-known names in diving.
