The second dive was significantly easier . Bob had a hunch that slack water might happen earlier than the charts suggested , we were on site nearly three hours before the scheduled time to dive and the shotline we had left in place from the previous day was dead slack . As a result , there was a bit of a rush to get kitted up .
Will and I were once again dropped in beside the shotline , easily this time in little or no current . Heading towards the bow , the team would report many artifacts , including another deck gun ; a bridge telegraph ; a walker log ; fire hydrant and

A pile of anchor chain was seen along with an anchor amid the wreckage . The boiler identified was of a Yarrow type , as expected , Jason ’ s original engines and boilers were changed for this type in 1902 .
We didn ’ t fancy another long hang , so having limited our bottom time to 20 minutes , we were able to surface at a fraction over 2 hours .

With the evidence we had collected , Kevin was happy to make public the news of our discovery , our band of Argonauts had indeed succeeded in our quest and located the last resting place of HMS Jason . We had found our Golden Fleece . �
