UKDIVING
PHOTO : SHELLEY FAMILY
PHOTO : TOM BASTON conditions both topside and below the waterline did not disappoint . With 6m viz and a mixture of marine life – including blennies , lobsters , cuttlefish , crabs and scallops – all the divers were buzzing as they exited the water .
The departure from the beautiful and serene marine world was made bearable by Millionaire Shortbread biscuits , homemade by our youngest assistant dive manager , Rhiannon Shelley . With the Waterfront Bar shut , we had to make do with home brought refreshments contained in our small Covid groups . The popular choice was coffee and craft beer – not mixed !
Covid restrictions are going to be with us for a good few more months . All the same , there ’ s no reason why they should stop branches from doing what they do best – safe and fun diving , just with Covid awareness . If you do have questions about what you can and cannot do , the BSAC website is a great font of knowledge . Otherwise , the team at BSAC HQ is brilliant at giving advice .
