The Galileo 3 is Scubapro ’ s latest watch-style computer and it ’ s crammed with a host of features for both underwater and topside use . The stainless steel case is complemented by a hardened sapphire crown manufactured to be highly resistant to scratching .
The rotating bezel is coated with a self-luminescent material , while the high-resolution , full-colour , backlit TFT LCD screen displays its information brightly and in an easy-to-read format . A fourbutton setup controls navigation through the computer ’ s user-friendly menu system , allowing personalisation from colour and screen styles to dive management .
There ’ s a choice of two algorithms : the Predictive Multi-Gas Buhlmann ZHL-16 ADT MB PMG or ZHL-16 GF ( Gradient Factors ) and three dive modes : Scuba , Gauge and Freediving . In Scuba mode , a further four settings are available : PMG ( Predictive Multi Gas ), Trimix , CCR & Sidemount . Air integration is also supported and a 3D tilt-compensated compass allows pinpoint navigation .
Scubapro ’ s PDIS ( Profile Dependent Intermediate Stops ) function can be used to calculate an intermediate stop by taking into account factors such as N2 loading , current / previous dives and gas mixes . Conservatism can also be adjusted for age and fitness levels , while heart rate can also be monitored via an optional extra . Up top , the G3 ’ s Sport mode supports an activity and swim stroke counter and stopwatch . Powered by a rechargeable Lithium battery , the computer can download your dive logs to your devices via Bluetooth connection .
