Meet an inner-city dive club that doesn ’ t let distance from the sea hinder its activity . Members of Trafford Sub Aqua Club pride themselves on keeping busy
Known as the home of Manchester United FC and Lancashire County Cricket Club , Trafford is a metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester . For a dive club , it is positioned inconveniently far from both the sea and inland sites , but that hasn ’ t stopped Trafford SAC thriving as it enters its 48th year .
Members say the distance from the sea that has led to TSAC venturing far and wide in search of underwater adventure , travelling to some of diving ’ s most remote destinations . In between international expeditions , members enjoy regular trips to UK classics such as St Abbs in Scotland ; Plymouth down on the South Coast ; the Farne Islands in the North East and the Sound of Mull off west Scotland .
