Regional Training Days
LOOKING TO CONSOLIDATE YOUR DIVER training or brush up on your skills? Then BSAC’ s Regional Training Days are the ideal complement to your in-club training programme.
Regional Training Days have been designed to support both members and their clubs by filling gaps in diver grade training or offering the chance to cover practical lessons that may have been missed. Held at dive training sites around the country, the day-long sessions are coordinated by BSAC’ s Regional Coaching Teams and can support divers and snorkellers in their progression through their grades.
A bonus of joining a Regional Training
Day is the opportunity to meet and socialise with divers from outside your club. You will be taught by experienced instructors from the regional teams and get to experience different teaching styles. For BSAC clubs, Regional Training Days can also boost training capacity, particularly when in-club instructor capacity is limited. For new Open Water Instructors looking to work with the region, they offer the opportunity to meet and work with your local team.
BSAC’ s Diving and Training Advisor, Julia Branagan, said she hopes even more BSAC members would make the most of the Regional Training Days scheduled for the coming months.
“ Regional Training Days really do have something for everyone. Members can request the specific lessons they need, allowing us to tailor training sessions to help students progress their diving grade. All the upcoming training days are now listed online, and they are a great way to train and meet other divers at the same time.”
So, whether there are specific skills you want to learn or hone, or you want to build up your diving experience, Regional Diver and Snorkeller Training Days can be tailored to ensure you get the most out of the experience.

BSAC clubs on the map
BSAC HAS RELAUNCHED ITS ONLINE CLUB FINDER TOOL TO help clubs recruit members and to signpost new and existing snorkellers and divers to their nearest BSAC branch.
The previous Club Finder was retired last year with the introduction of the MyBSAC( Sport: 80) member platform.
The new BSAC Club Finder on bsac. com is powered by Google Maps, making it search-engine-friendly and even easier to find the right club online. Potential members can visually explore their nearest BSAC clubs and click a pin for more details.
Once they find a club or clubs they are interested in, they can fill in the short enquiry form, which sends the information directly to their chosen club. It is then up to the club to respond, answer any queries, and invite the potential new member to visit to learn more.
Club information is taken directly from MyBSAC. Any clubs not listed can contact marketing @ bsac. com for help. The Club and Centre Finder tool can be found at bsac. com / findaclub
