New Regional Coaches announced

BSAC HAS WELCOMED TWO NEW FACES to the Regional Coaching team – the new South West Regional Coach, David George and the new Eastern Regional Coach, James Soos.
A BSAC member for more than 40 years, David is a National Instructor and has also held the post of BSAC’ s Open Water Instructor Chief Examiner. He takes over the South West Regional role from Rob Jackson.
Meanwhile, James Soos, who learnt to dive in the Army and is a recreational and technical instructor who runs a BSAC Centre in Bedfordshire, has stepped into the role of Eastern Regional Coach.
Bringing a host of skills and experience, both David and James will now work with their regional teams to provide the support and training opportunities the Coaching Scheme offers to all BSAC clubs and members.
BSAC’ s Coaching Coordinator, Julia Branagan welcomed the two new additions to the coaching team.
“ On behalf of BSAC I extend a very warm welcome to David and James as they take up their respective Regional Coach roles. Both are committed to engaging with and supporting all our BSAC clubs and members across their regions and I’ m delighted to have them on board.”

Jenny joins the Lego legends

2024’ S BRITISH UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE Year winner, Jenny Stock, has been steadily building her profile since becoming Underwater Photographer of the Year’ s first ever female champion. And this has included photographing the models and marine life of the Deep-Sea Adventure ride at the Legoland Windsor Resort.
Jenny recently spent a photography session in three metres of water documenting the finishing touches to the ride’ s revamp, ahead of its spring opening. The Lego models in the underwater display contain a total of 240,000 bricks and took 2,190 hours to create.
