ODDLY OUTSTANDING OWLS
live in forests, rainforests, deserts, and grassy
plains. Although, there’s only one owl that lives
in the tundra biome which is the Snowy Owl.
The Snowy Owl is a beautiful, white owl that
you may recognize from the Harry Potter series.
A Snowy Owl takes the role of Hedwig, the bird
from Harry Potter, a cute and friendly owl.
Therefore, owls can live pretty much anywhere.
Here is a Snowy Owl like Hedwig from Harry Potter.

The not so friendly part about owls is how they
hunt and love their food. They will do a lot to
get to it too. When the food the owls eat
grows scarce, owls will simply move to a new
spot with more food. They find a place with a
good amount of prey and better hunting
conditions when their food back at home grows
scarce. Some owls live in the desert where
there is a great amount of food. The owls
usually have perfect shelter and can sneak up
on their prey with no sound whatsoever. Owls
get their food like that, on completely silent
wings. How amazing is that!? Owls are great
hunters.
The Parts of an Owl
So, let’s talk owls, the parts of owls specifically.
Do you know what? Female owls bodies are
actually larger than the males bodies are.
Female owls have baby owls that are hatched
from eggs. When a baby owl hatches, it has no
feathers for flight. The baby owls have soft,
downy feathers. They are very different from
the adult feathers. The babies have the soft,
downy feathers to keep warm. Owls can look
pretty weird form-wise.
Have you ever heard of a ‘super owls’? A ‘super
owl’ is what we call an owl with super powers.
Owls have their eyes in the front of their face,
like humans. Most birds have one eye on each
