THE MAGNIFICENT MEDICAL FIELD
When you get a scratch, you probably won’ t go see a doctor, but if you have the measles you may. Some small things, like getting a bruise or a cut and you most likely won’ t see a doctor. You might see a doctor if you have mono, or if you break your leg, though. Some doctors are better at their job than others. Although they are / were good, without the tool they use / used they wouldn’ t be as good.
Different medical professionals do different things at different places. Although they may work somewhere else or in something else( or both!) Medical professionals all try to make life better for people. Although it may seem like it’ s not fun, treating patients who are sick or hurt, but for nurse practitioner Heidi Mason, it is.“ I love my job. I enjoy helping people tolerate their treatment and cope with their diagnosis.”
Although some doctors may be good, others may stand out more. There are many famous doctors. Here are a few of the many: William Osler, Mae C. Jemison, and Ben Carson.
Doctors don’ t just use their hands to help you. A doctor uses many different tools. Young kids may use urine cups. People may get a tine test( something to see if you have tuberculosis). A doctor may use a lancet to test a person’ s blood. Doctors give flu shots, test your hearing, along with many other things.
Doctors don’ t all do the same thing. There can be different types of doctors. The type of body part they treat and the age of their patients can sort them out into different categories. Some types of doctors you may have heard of are a:
A medical professional at work helping a patient.
✦ Dentist / cleans the teeth and mouth
✦ Pediatrician / treats kids
✦ Orthodontist / helps get teeth in the right place

Maybe now you will become one of those doctors!
