THE UNBELIEVABLE UNIVERSE Atmospheres Atmospheres can be very strange. Some can be dangerous, some safe, and can even be flammable! Atmospheres give a pressure of holding up gases on planets. There are 2 planets that have interesting atmospheres that this article will talk about. Jupiter has a very strange, and dangerous atmospheres. For instance Jupiter's atmosphere has a very plain color, almost like a coffee creamer color. Jupiter’s coffee creamer color also comes from the planets color, because it’s a gas giant The solar system Jupiter’s atmosphere is actually quite dangerous. There is a reason why no one want’s to get near the atmosphere. The reason is because Jupiter’s atmosphere is made up of very poisonous gases! The atmosphere is mostly crystals of ammonia and some poisonous gases, too. Venus, Venus’s atmosphere is not so dangerous it’s quite safe. Venus’s atmosphere is so thick the hot gases, from Venus itself can’t escape! Venus’s atmosphere also is thick because it is mostly made of carbon dioxide. Planets and Moons Some planets and moons are very interesting especially the ones in our solar system. Some planets are big, and some small. Here are the planets. Here are some interesting facts about Jupiter. Well for some planets their clouds are level with their atmosphere, but not Jupiter’s clouds, they are lower than it’s atmosphere. Jupiter’s Great Red Spot Jupiter has lots of storms but there’s one storm that is interesting. This storm is Jupiter’s biggest and meanest, and it’s called The Great Red Spot. It’s a very famous storm that has been storming for 300 years and is 24,800 miles across! The Sun. Here are some facts about the Sun. The Sun is the largest object in our solar system. It is about 865,000 miles in diameter. The Sun is so big in fact, that it takes, two million years for energy to get from the Sun’s core to the Sun’s surface. Sometimes this energy – 58 –
