The first day of school is always usually hard for people.  I bet you have had that feeling before.   Once or twice.  Matilda had a different experience.  Matilda meets a girl named Lavender who becomes friends with Matilda.  Matilda  loved her new teacher.  Her name was Miss Honey.  Miss Honey was very sweet like honey itself, She was very fond of Matilda.  The principal on the other hand is the opposite.  One day at recess Matilda is told by Hortisia, who was a 5th grader or 4th grader  about the chokey and when she starts to sing everybody else joins in on a song called "The Chokey Chant".  Another day came and over the loud speaker there was a big loud voice of Miss Trunchbull calling everybody to the  lunch room.  I am going to stop there at school  so that I don't spoil it for you. As many people know, Matilda could not be Matilda without her special eye powers.  You probably know about the "Force"  and of course Matilda with moving things with her mind.  The most known of the times when Matilda uses her eyes is the moving chalk scene.  Mostly the special effects wil l be taken care of in the " Backstage" section, so if you want find out how is done go to the next section.  When Matilda does the chalk scene, the Trunchbull freaks out and runs off, then the children sing a song called "Revolting Children" which is a song about the children being happy that the Trunchbull is gone.  Theres this one song that really shows and tells the lesson of Matilda the Musical,  it is a song called "Naughty" this song is about being yourself and you can choose what you want to be.
