Welcome to Scott Dixon Racing Open Morning
“ Dedicated To Your Success ”
Welcome to the home of Scott Dixon Racing here at Haygarth House Stud and our open morning . We are today showing some established success stories but also showing you horses for sale either as sole ownership prospects or as syndicate opportunities ideal for those who are just starting out in their adventure into horse ownership . Never be afraid to express your interest and become a part of our ownership group , we can promise you we have opportunities available to suit everyone . Our horses are treated as individuals and are important to us - our owners are too .
Once the youngest trainer in Britain , I underlined my ambitions in my first year of training in 2012 by saddling a string of notable winners on the All-Weather and Turf and concluded my first year training by holding the highest strike rate at Epsom in the country with 44 % winners to runners . I enjoyed a double at Ascot both ridden by Tom Queally and enjoyed success at courses the length and breadth of the country . The team continued to attract attention from the media during 2013 with impressive results at the major courses around the country . Thunderball enjoyed a big win at the prestigious opening Lincoln meeting at Doncaster and started the turf season with a bang .
The yard continued its upward curve with a hat-trick with Dr Red Eye completing the last two legs at the fabulous Chester Racecourse where he holds an enviable strike rate . The yard completed the turf season with an impressive tally of winners culminating in a big win at York at the Ebor meeting with Threes Grand , alongside taking The Catterick Dash Catterick ’ s biggest race of the year with Even Stevens reaching an excellent prize money total and coming ahead in the trainers table of many much more established trainers with much larger yards .
2014 could not have started any better , with a big win on New Year ’ s Day for Even Stevens at Southwell . This put us on to the top spot No 1 on the trainers table . With bigger yards always chasing , it may have been a brief moment , but it is firmly in my sights that this is a place we firmly desire to be , and with this in mind , we continued to push forward in 2014 with a super
bunch of established horses and a small string of promising 2yo . The flat season at Doncaster opened for the team at Scott Dixon Racing with a bang . Cock of North winning “ The Brocklesby ” the first two year old race of the season , and his sterling place efforts in Group Company throughout the season advertised the ability of the team to select , train and plan not only the campaigns of established handicappers but also 2 year olds too .
We continued to strive for success during 2014 and the team achieved their targets by increasing not only the number of winners totalling 35 with 29 second places , 27 third and 36 fourth placings , but also their prize money total too with just over £ 220k . These fantastic achievements , ensured that Scott Dixon Racing was the leading trainer in the top 100 trainers in the country for a £ 1 stake with a whopping profit of £ 48.50 .
