Some people claim that bodybuilding or going to gym in general has no relation with science. What does a doctor say to an obese man to do in order to lose weight? One of the answers is going to the gym, walking on a treadmill or does exercises. Then a doctor, who is considered as a scientist or related to science, recommends something that he learnt through all of these years of his career, then of course gym is considered as science.
Moreover, for a bodybuilder to build a respected body, or for an athlete to reach his fitness goals, there are many things that should be followed, for example, the nutrition plan. They should not just eat randomly; they have to follow a nutrition plan that is offered by a doctor, not any doctor, a specialized one for that field.
Going to the gym is not that easy, you should follow a personal trainer at first in order to know what exercises you should follow, and that personal trainer should be a certified coach. Furthermore, in order to reach this certificate you should have done a lot of effort learning, doing research and be an expert. You should have a full knowledge on the nutrition plan, the types of exercises a person can undertake and when that person should stop. All of these examples should be studied to gain that knowledge. This is also another point to support that gym is considered as science.
Talking about gym and science in general, it seems that both have no relation connecting them together, but we need to take a closer look, researching and using our minds and logic in order to give a fair judgment that follows the scientific checklist in order to be classified as science.
