Energy drinks affect heart conditions
The amount of cans of energy drinks doubled between 2007 and 2011. And those people didn’t know about the huge amount of caffeine in it and how drinks with high caffeine beverages can affect the heart. The drink has side effects on heart function, especially with young adults and adolescents.
A study has taken place, and concluded that there are 20,000 patients were lying in hospitals in 2011 after energy drinks. Researchers did a cardiac MRI on 18 healthy adults before and after consuming a highly caffeinated energy drink. To begin, there wasn’t any change in the heart rate or the blood pressure. As for the MRI results, it revealed over pressure in the heart where oxygenated blood flows from the lungs.
