Channel your inner Sommelier with this incredible one-of-a-kind package to help you start or grow your wine collection. Donated by the SAA Board of Trustees and SAA supporters, this 100 + bottle lot is filled with an eclectic selection of wines from around the globe!
Take your taste buds on a trip around the world as you first sample Europe with a French Champagne or a Port from Portugal. Next, head to South America while you indulge in a Malbec from Argentina or a Chilean Chardonnay. Make your way back to the U. S. as you sip a Pinot Gris from Oregon or a Cabernet from Napa. With many of the bottles having a Wine Spectator rating of 90 or higher, your collection will be one to cherish for years to come.
Because few houses are equipped with a subterranean wine cave, you’ ll have one year of wine storage for up to 16 cases of wine, generously provided by Kent Cellars.
Next, explore urban winemaking at City Winery in Chicago. With hands on experiences in all facets of the winemaking process, from the initial crush of the grapes to creating a custom blend and private label, over the course of the upcoming year, you, along with a small group of your choice, will curate an original wine to be unveiled in celebration of SAA’ s 25th anniversary. Not only will you have a unique experience but you will make a significant contribution to this upcoming, milestone event. The bottles you help to create will later be auctioned off to benefit the school, but don’ t fret; a case will be reserved for you to add to your collection.
Lastly, record your favorite vintages, pairings, and more in a beautiful, handmade leather wine journal and display your one of a kind wine-themed art globe.
