Science and Technology Today
We are living in the future . Like every other abstract topic in history , what most people ’ s image of the future is most often drastically different from reality . While most people imagined the future as utopia filled with flying cars and fully conscious robots , in reality , we ’ re as close to the future as we have ever been . Merely a few centuries ago , flying above the clouds , looking down at the world from a much different angle was thought to be an impossible , almost godly feet that seemed like humans would never reach , yet today we have high definition up-close photos of the sun , all the planets of our solar system and even black holes .
We know more about our world and beyond than ever . Science is at its highest peak , countless biologists , chemists , astronomers and mathematicians are working day and night to uncover all of the hidden secrets that our vast universe has to offer . However , it ’ s undeniable that science would not advance as much as it has without the simultaneously advanced technology . Technology has significantly improved our lives for the better , to the point where we cannot even imagine going through a day without using our countless electronic devices .
While warmth was once exclusively obtained by fire , today we have heaters . While travel was once limited to horses or chariots , today we have cars and airplanes . While communication with a distant relative once took days of mailing letters back and forth , today it takes mere seconds to send and receive text messages .
