Valerie loves that Stevenson’ s nursing program is supportive rather than competitive. Students want each other to do well and don’ t need to compete for spots in the program.“ It’ s almost like a big family among the students. And, the faculty make themselves available to students who ask for help.” Clinical experiences at Sinai Hospital, the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, and the University of Maryland Medical Center have allowed Valerie to apply her knowledge to real situations in hospital environments.“ Each course has a specific, meaningful purpose in the curriculum, which becomes evident during clinicals. I’ ve learned so much from Stevenson and I feel very prepared to practice nursing.”
