BERMAN SCHOOL OF NURSING AND HEALTH PROFESSIONS : AT A GLANCE

OVERVIEW OF SCHOOL
The Berman School of Nursing and Health Professions is Stevenson University ’ s sixth — and newest — undergraduate School . The new School is built on the foundation of our well-established and respected programs in medical laboratory science and nursing . The School moved into Stevenson ’ s new Kevin J . Manning Academic Center in 2016 . Located on the Owings Mills north campus expansion , the center houses a Nursing Resource Center , which includes a Skills Learning Lab and a state-of-the-art Center for Simulation Learning Excellence . Both centers enhance students ’ learning as they make the connection between theory and practice in a safe , hospital-like environment .
Beginning in the fall of their junior year , students in the medical laboratory science program will begin to put theory into practice with laboratory experiences that introduce students to the equipment and laboratory tests that provide the data necessary to detect , diagnose , and treat disease .
Berman School of Nursing and Health Professions graduates are well prepared for employment in the public and private sectors and for further study in graduate and professional schools . Each student also receives personalized advising from their faculty to assist them with curricular decisions as well as other considerations that will help them achieve career goals .
