Letter from the Vice President
of Career Services
Dear Students and Parents,
We are pleased to introduce you to Stevenson University’s concept
of Career ArchitectureSM. This approach provides a model of
engagement that gives you the skills to manage your career and
life to the fullest capacity long past your first job after graduation.
At Stevenson, faculty and staff take an active role in student
learning and the Career Architecture model.
One example is our First-Year Seminar, during which freshman
students participate in the LEGO® Challenge to learn about their
strengths and interests, incorporate the Career Architecture
model into their learning, and build strong connections with
their classmates. Our office also has Career Services Industry
Specialists who work closely with faculty in all academic disciplines
to help support professional development and to find new avenues
for networking within each student’s industry. Such customized
programming, curricula, and events are key elements of the Career
Architecture model.
As a Stevenson student, you can also take part in experiential
learning activities outside the classroom during your time at the
University. Through this combined multitude of experiences,
you can reflect on your learning and build a unique professional
brand so that you can have an impact on both your career and
community.
