study in chemistry and her graduate study in forensic sciences will prepare for her career after graduation. She hopes to become a toxicologist with the Maryland State Police Forensic Science Labratory.
Students at SU have the exciting opportunity to participate in an independent, career-oriented capstone experience. Some students pursue independent laboratory research experiences on or off campus. Others opt for internships at companies or agencies that are consistent with their career goals.
Graduates have secured positions in the chemical and biotechnology industries, pursued graduate study in chemistry or forensic science, and continued on to professional schools around the country. Qualified students have the opportunity to obtain early admission to the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy through an articulation agreement.
Students receiving their bachelor’ s degree in chemistry may also continue on to receive their Master of Arts in Teaching( M. A. T.) at Stevenson in either the traditional or combined B. S. to M. A. T. option.
