I investigate how cellular mechanisms such as oxidative stress, metabolic imbalance and dysregulated signalling contribute to disease development. By integrating molecular biology approaches with disease-relevant models, my work aims to identify key drivers of pathology and validate potential biomarkers for diagnosis and therapy.
I am also interested in genetic polymorphisms and population-level genomic variations that influence disease susceptibility. In parallel, I explore targeted gene-based delivery systems that may offer translational potential for new therapeutic strategies.
Ultimately, my goal is to integrate mechanistic insights with biomarker discovery and genomic profiling to advance precision medicine for diseases prevalent in the tropics.
