Demographic change , digital skills and productivity growth in Asia
This study explores the future economic paths of major Asian countries and the US over 50 years , focusing on demographics . A growth model predicts GDP and per capita GDP , emphasising factors like capital accumulation , technology , and labor-capital substitution . While a deceleration in labor force growth presents challenges , it does not predetermine Asia ’ s future growth . The findings highlight the importance of fostering technological innovation and investing in physical and human capital to sustain robust growth .
