The investment in Lego blocks and minifigures had a significant impact on student engagement and learning outcomes . By incorporating these resources into in-class activities , students were actively involved in constructing communication models , fostering critical thinking to enhance their understanding of course concepts . This approach was particularly effective for two units , MGW1100 Managerial Communication and MGM5966 International Business Theory and Practice , where students demonstrated a deeper connection to their assignments and a heightened overall learning experience .

Generative AI for Teaching and Learning of Econometrics Theory and Policy
The awarded fund has successfully integrated Generative AI into the curriculum of ETW2510 Introductory Econometrics , achieving notable outcomes in student engagement , learning efficiency , and data analysis capabilities . The varying levels of engagement and preparedness among students and instructors calls for a more structured approach to AI literacy and curriculum integration . Hence , This approach will better equip students for future AI practices and enhance their critical thinking and policy-prescription skills , essential in today ’ s data-driven world .” The insights gained are valuable for shaping an effective , AI-inclusive educational strategy , ensuring that the School of Business remains at the forefront of innovative and effective teaching methodologies .

From Knowing to Doing : Stimulating Purpose-Driven Analytics Research using Magnetic Blocks and Generative AI
The allocated funds were used to acquire essential materials for ETW3483 Applied Analytics , including ChatGPT Plus subscriptions and Magnetic 2D / 3D Tiles . Teaching materials such as Magnetic Tiles facilitate both individual and group activities , with a focus on the organisation of unstructured data and the visualisation of trends and patterns . This learning approach aims to cultivate a space where students can freely explore ideas , fostering a positive global mindset and refining research skills . Through this transformative experience , students develop proficiency in effective data utilisation and the evaluation of practical relevance in AI tools .

Play , Collaborate , Succeed : Leveraging Gamification as a Catalyst for Collaboration and Communication in Business Education
The allocated budget supports a range of cardboard games , integral to the implementation of authentic assessment within this unit . By incorporating gamification , the unit aims to boost student engagement , foster interaction , encourage collaboration , and improve communication in the classroom . This initiative aligns with the course learning outcomes , Monash Graduate attributes , and Assurance of Learning ( AOL ) principles .
