DESIGNING AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT
ASSESSMENT is a fundamental element of teaching which allows for the evaluation of learning outcomes . Authentic assessments are unit tasks designed to simulate real-world challenges in professional settings , encouraging students to apply critical thinking and problemsolving skills .
The School ’ s curriculum also integrates social , environmental and ethical considerations to drive positive societal impact .

Our approach to Authentic assessment includes :
• Use of educational apps such as Pollyeverywhere . com , Kahoot , Jamboard and Padlet to encourage students to collaboratively engage in discussions .
• Hosting industry experts in workshops , guest speakers , or industry assessors as best methods of engagement between students and future employers .
• Assessments and learning activities that incorporate digital competencies to familiarise students with GSuites products , Excel , RStudio , Canva and other industry-relevant digital softwares .

Business Discovery Day 9 September 2023 The Business Discovery Day was an interactive , competition-based event designed to empower young students from diverse colleges and schools . It offered participants a unique opportunity to experience the role of a business consultant by engaging in real-world challenges and compelling scenarios . They were tasked with developing persuasive business plans within two distinct tracks : “ Game On for Sustainability : ESG Accounting Competition ” and “ Strategic Pitch Battle : Harnessing Analytics for Success .” This immersive experience , involving over 200 students , aimed to cultivate strategic thinking and practical skills essential for future business leaders . p 15
