The Student Council’ s visit to St Paul’ s College, Hong Kong
In March, 2 teachers and 15 Student Councillors from our school visited St Paul’ s College in Hong Kong as part of the school’ s Student Leadership Exchange Programme.
Participants had the opportunity to go on a school tour and to interact with the student leaders of St Paul’ s College. They shared with one another the different Student Leadership programmes, an initiative implemented by the respective schools. Some of our students also shared about Anglican High School during the school’ s morning assemblies.
It was an enriching experience for our students as they experienced life from the perspective of a Hong Kong student. The group visited the Archbishop of Hong Kong whose house is on the former grounds of St Paul’ s College. They made many new friends and hope that this friendship between the two schools will remain intact.

School Events

From 11-15 April, students enjoyed a plethora of activities conducted to celebrate International Friendship Week, Humanities Week and English Language Week. Activities were also held to groom our students into global citizens.
AHS Gives Back
This year, AHS students contributed to society in their own unique ways. The Secondary One students went to several neighbouring primary schools to conduct story-telling sessions while the Secondary Twos and Threes helped out at nursing homes and daycare centres.
Global Citizens Programme Week 2011
All the Secondary One students were taught mind-mapping skills and how to carry out effective research and identify reliable and relevant information sources. The culmination of weeks of research was an appetising dish suitable for a person suffering from a diet-related disease.
English Language Week 2011( EL Week)
Every year, our students look forward to EL Week when they participate in games and activities to promote the use of the language. This year’ s highlight was the inaugural Scramble Competition where Sec 1J, Sec 2G, Sec 3J and Sec 4F emerged as the Level Champions. These champions subsequently pitted their skills against a select team of teachers in the Teachers’ Challenge.
