MY COUNTRY
GREECE

LOCATION
My country is Greece. The
location of Greece is in
southeastern Europe. It’s in the
Balkan peninsula. Greece
borders Albania, Bulgaria and
FYROM to the north and Turkey
to the east. It is also between
the Aegean sea to the east and
the Ionian sea to the west.
LAND & SEA
Some mountains in Greece are
Olympos, Taygetos and Parnassos.
Some islands in the Aegean sea are
Rhodes, Chios, Mykonos and
Santorini. In the Ionian sea Corfu,
Zakynthos and Ithaca. The
peninsula of Peloponnese is in the
south. Greece is surrounded by sea
everywhere. It has the tenth
largest coastline in the world.

CLIMATE
CITIES
Its capital is Athens. Some of
the Greek biggest cities are:
Thessaloniki, Patras, Kavala,
Larissa, Heraklion, Volos,
Rhodes, Ioannina and Serres.

The climate of Greece is mild with
wet and hot winters and dry
summers. In the western side of
the country the climate is wetter
and colder because of the Pindus
mountain.

POPULATION
Greece has got 11 million people.
They are very hospitable, friendly
and outgoing.
Greece also has many immigrants
and refugees from a lot of
countries like Albania, Bulgaria,
Romania, Georgia, Ukraine, Syria,
Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq,
Nigeria etc.

OUR OPINION
Greece is rich in history and
its monuments and civilization
are remarkable and worthy of
admiration. Besides that,
Greece is also very beautiful
and rich in vegetation. In the
summer the sea is calm and
warm, that’ s why many
tourists visit our country.
