Tuition Fee Waiver
This scholarship supports students who are pursuing graduate research.
RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS
Availability For graduate research students who are enrolling or in their first year of registration.
Benefits Up to a 100 % tuition fee waiver.
Eligibility
• You must meet the minimum academic qualification of Second Class Honours( H2A) or its equivalence( H2AE) recognised by the University, and the English language proficiency requirement
• Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis
• You must not have completed a graduate research master or doctoral degree at the same course level( e. g. you’ re applying to undertake a second doctoral degree)
• If you’ ve received a scholarship or financial assistance from an external sponsor( s), you must obtain prior approval from the Monash University Malaysia Graduate Research Office( MUMGRO) to confirm that there are no contradictory conditions from the sponsors. Consent from the University and sponsor( s) are required.
Conditions You must not receive any other form of financial assistance throughout the duration of your study.

GLOBAL EXCELLENCE AND MOBILITY SCHOLARSHIP( GEMS)
Tuition Fee Waiver and Stipend
This scholarship features regional mobility and is awarded to highly qualified students seeking to work on projects of regional and global relevance.
Availability For Doctor of Philosophy students enrolling in Monash University Malaysia.
Recipients will be funded for an immersive placement at either Monash University Australia, Monash University Indonesia, or the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay of up to 9 months and have access to Monash University’ s global network of research expertise and infrastructure during their candidature period.
Benefits
100 % tuition fee waiver plus a monthly stipend of RM2950 for 33-36 months in Malaysia, and as recipients will be funded for up to 9 months in Australia, Indonesia or India, a monthly stipend of RM8500 while in Australia or RM2950 while in Indonesia or India and a grant to cover travel and living expenses in either Australia, Indonesia or India.
Eligibility
• You must possess a minimum academic qualification of First Class Honours( H1) or its equivalence( H1E) recognised by Monash Malaysia
• Other requirements apply.
Conditions You may be required to contribute a maximum of 240 hours per year in academic support and / or research support activities as determined by the managing School.
